CORRIGENDUM
Subject: Grant of special increment in the form of personal pay to Central Government Servants for participation in sporting events and tournaments of National or International Importance, in the 7 CPC Scenario – reg.
Reference MoD letter No. 30(13}2007-DiPiS} dated 24.08.2018 on the above-mentioned subject. Vide abovementioned MoD letter dated 24.08.2018 provisions of DoP&T’s O.M. No. 6/1/2017-Estt. (Pay-I) dated 11.6.2018 were extended mutatis-mutandis to Defence Service Personnel regarding grant of special increment in the form of persona! pay for participating in sporting events and tournaments of National or international importance in the 7th CPC scenario.
2. However, Grade Pays/Levels specific to Defence Services Personnel were not specified at Annexure to the DoP&T’s O.M. No. 6/1/2017-Estt. (Pay-l) dated 44.6.2018. The matter has been examined in consultation with Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance and the revised rates of Personal Pay in respect of missing Grade Pay/Level specific to Defence Service Personnel are calculated as under:

I am directed to refer to Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pension (Department of Personnel & Training) Officer Memorandum No. 6/1/2017-Estt(Pay-I) dated 11th June, 2018 on the above subject. The provisions of the said O.M. will mutatis mutandis be applicable to Defence Service Personnel.
2. This issues with the concurrence of Defence (Finance) vide their Dy. No. 319/AG/FD dated 23 August, 2018
