Time-limit for submission of claims for Travelling Allowance (TA) on retirement: Railway Board Order RBE No. 51/2021

Sub: Time-limit for submission of claims for Travelling Allowance (TA) on retirement regarding.

In terms of Board’s letter of even number dated 23,03:2018, the time limit for submission of Co claims for Travelling Allowance on Tour / Transfer / Training/ Journey on Retirement was revised to sixty (60) days, succeeding the date of completion of the journey, subject to certain other terms & conditions.

In partial modification to Board’s above mentioned letter dated 23.03.2018, it has been decided with the approval of competent authority that the time-limit for-submission of claims for TA on retirement is modified from 60 days to 180 days (six months), succeeding the date of completion of the journey.

The time limit for submission of TA claim in all other cases i.e. on tour, transfer and training etc. -will remain 60 days.

These orders will be effective from the date of issue of the order. However, the claims not settled due to time limit of 60 days in terms of letter of even number dated 23.03.2018 on the subject, may re-considered.
