Ministry of Defence, Assistant (Excluded from the Central Secretariat Service) Group ‘B’ Posts (Amendment) Recruitment Rules, 2021
MINISTRY OF DEFENCE
New Delhi, the 23rd February, 2021
S.R.O. 4.— In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution, the President hereby makes the following rules to amend the Ministry of Defence(Finance) Assistant (Excluded from the Central Secretariat Service) Recruitment Rules, 2007, namely :-
1. (1) These rules may be called the Ministry of Defence, Assistant (Excluded from the Central Secretariat Service) Group ‘B’ Posts (Amendment) Recruitment Rules, 2021.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Ministry of Defence(Finance) Assistant (Excluded from the Central Secretariat Service) Group ‘B’ Posts Recruitment Rules, 2007,-
(a) for rule 3, the following rule shall be substituted, namely:-
“3. Number of post, classification and level in pay matrix.– The number of the said post, its classification and the level in the pay matrix attached thereto shall be as specified in columns (2) to (4) of the said schedule.”;
(b) in the Schedule, in column (4), for the column heading and the entries relating thereto, the following column heading shall be substituted, namely :-

| Level 6 in the pay matrix (Rs. 35400 to 112400)”; |
(c) in column (12),-
(A) for the entries in item (i), the following entries shall be substituted, namely :-
“(i) Senior Secretariat Assistant (SSA) of Central Secretariat Clerical Services in the level 4 in the pay matrix (Rs 25500 – 81100) with ten years regular service in the grade and who have undergone training in Cash and Accounts in the Institute of Secretariat Training and Management or equivalent training course conducted by any other training institution and possesses three years’ experience in Cash, account and budget work.”
(B) for the entries in item (i), the following entries shall be substituted, namely :-
“(ii) Senior Auditors of the Defence Accounts Department in the level 6 in the pay matrix (Rs35400 – 112400).”
(C) for the entries in item (i), the following entries shall be substituted, namely :-
“(iii) Auditors of the Defence Accounts Department in the level 5 in the pay matrix (Rs 29200 – 92300) with six years regular service in the grade.”
