Subject: Extending new means of identification for continuation of pensionary awards in view of COVID- 19 situation- reg.

Sir,

I am directed to refer to this Department’s letter of even no. dated 26.10.2020 and CGDA Hqrs UO No. 5637/AT-P/Audit & Payment/Vol-VI dated 30.03.2021 regarding extending the period for new means of identification for continuation of pensionary awards.

2. The matter has been examined and it has been decided that the new method of Be identification as approved vide MoD letter of even no. dated 15.06.2020 and extended upto March, 2021 or till the situation improves whichever is earlier-vide-letter of even no. dated 26.10.2020, shall remain operative up to September, 2021 or till the Covid-19 situation improves, whichever is earlier.

3. This issues with the approval of Secretary (ESW).
