Sub: Recognition of Gymnastics Federation of India (GFI) – regarding .

Ref : Board’s letter no . 2014/E(Sports)/4(1)/l /Policy Clarifications. dated 11.03.2014 RBE No. 23/2014 Clarification Corrigendum No. 46.

Vide Board’s letter under reference dated 11.03.2014 (RBE No. 23/2013) it was decided that the sports achievements in the event conducted by Gymnastics Federation of India or its affiliated units after 30.07.2011, shall not be considered for recruitment, incentives and all other establishment matters.

2. Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports vide their letter No. 30-8/2009-SP-I/SP-III (Vol.II). dated 26.02.2021 has restored the recognition of Gymnastics Federation of India, led by Shri Sudhir Mittal as President, as National Sports Federation for the sport of Gymnastics in India w.e.f . 26.02.2021.

3. In line with the decision of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. Railway Sports Promotion Board , for the game of Gymnastic, accords it recognition to restore the recognition of Gymnastics Federation of India, led by Shri Sudhir Mittal as President as National Sports Federation for the sport of Gymnastics in India w.e.f . 26.02.2021. Participation and medal winning performance in the events organized by the above Federation after 26.02.2021 may be considered for recruitment, incentives and all other establishment related issues, as per Board’s extant policy instructions.
