MEMORANDUM

Subject: Grant of Dearness Relief to State Government pensioners/ family pensioners – Rates effective from 01.03.2021 (payable from 01.04.2021) -Regarding.

The undersigned is directed to refer to the subject mentioned above and to state that the Governor of Tripura is pleased to decide that the Dearness Relief admissible to State Government pensioners/ family pensioners shall be granted at the rate of 3% of the basic pension/ basic family pension respectively as admissible under Tripura State Civil Services (Revised Pension) Rules, 2017 read with its 1st Amendment, 2018 with effect from 1st March, 2021 (payable from 1st April 2021).

2. The payment on account of Dearness Relief involving fractions of 50 paisa and above may be rounded to the next higher rupee and the fractions of less than 50 paisa may be ignored.

3. The Pension Disbursing Authorities including Public Sector Banks handling disbursement of pension/ family pension to the State Government Pensioners / Family Pensioners are authorized to calculate and disburse Dearness Relief at the above rate and manner in each individual case.

4. The expenditure on payment of Dearness Relief on pension/ family pension to the State Government Pensioners / Family Pensioners respectively shall be debitable to the Major Head ‘2071-Pension and other Retirement Benefits’.
