Subject: Action Taken Report on 12th Report of National Commission for scheduled Tribes.

An extract of certain recommendations made by National Commission for Scheduled Tribes in its 12th report is as under:

“The Commission, therefore, recommends that the concerned departments/ Ministries/ Organizations in Centre and State should take effective steps to ensure that each Government official is made aware of the safeguards provided for Scheduled Tribes for which training should be imparted to the dealing officers/ officials in the beginning of service about their duties and responsibilities prescribed in the rules relating to the subject matter to be assigned to him/her to ensure availability of safeguards to the Scheduled Tribes employee,s/ beneficiaries under various development schemes and particularly to the victims of atrocity under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes POA Act, 1989. “

2. In this regard it is stated that the undersigned has been directed to inform all PCsDA/CsDA offices and training institutes that henceforth, one session on the topic “Safeguards for Scheduled Tribes” should be included in the induction training courses which are organised by them for Auditors/Clerks.

3. Similar action may be taken in respect of the in-house training which is conducted by PCsDA/CsDA offices for Junior Hindi Translators, Stenos Grade-ll and
MTS.

4. Confirmation to this effect may be furnished to this Training Division, by 31.03.2021.
