Subject: NPS On-boarding through Online PRAN Generation Module (OPGM)

This has reference to clause no. 2(i) of Circular no PFRDA/2020/9/SUP-CRA/2 dated 13.04.2020, Circular no, PFRDA/2020/11/SUP-CRA/4 dated 20.04.2020 and the subsequent Circular no PFRDA/2020/29/SUP-CRA/12 dated 30.06.2020 on the captioned subject.

2. As requested by various Points of Presences (POPs), PFRDA has decided that the date of implementation of the above advisory on time lines regarding opening NPS accounts by POPs through OPGM without photo and signature has been further extended till 31st Dec 2020 The other guidelines regarding opening of NPS account through OPUM remain the same which need to complied by the PoPs as per specified timelines.

3. This circular is issued under Sec 14 of Pension Fund Regulators and Development Authority Act 2013 which is placed in the CRA section of intermediaries and also under the Circular sub section of Regulatory Framework section of PFRDA website.
