Guru Tegh Bahadur was publicly beheaded on November 24th 1675 on the orders of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb in Delhi for refusing to convert to Islam.
Meaning of Teg Bahadur
Tegh Bahādur, ninth Sikh Guru and second Sikh martyr, who gave his life for a religion not his own. He was also the father of the tenth Guru, Gobind Singh.
