Sub: Engagement of retired para-medical staff (in Group ‘C’) and hiring of para-medical staff (in Group ‘C’) on contract basis.

Since the alarming situation owing to outbreak of COVID-19 continues unabated, it has been decided to extend the scheme of hiring of paras-medical staff (in Group ‘C’) on contract basis within the sanctioned strength (which was valid upto 30.09.2020) and also over and above the sanctioned strength (which was valid upto 30.06.2020) upto 31.12.2020 subject to the stipulations already mentioned in Board’s letter No. E(NG)II/2005/RC-4/SC/2 dated 18.03.2020 for the former and Board’s letter No. E(NG)II/2005/RC-4/SC/2 dated 31.03.2020 for the latter respectively.

2. It has also been decided to extend the validity of scheme for engaging retired employees (which is presently valid upto 01.12.2020) upto 31.12.2020 for engaging retired para-medical staff only subject to the stipulations contained in Board’s letter No. E(NG)II/2007/RC-4/CORE/1 dated 28.11.2019. As regards the arrangement put in place vide Board’s letter No. E(NG)II/2005/RC-4/SC/2 dated 31.03.2020 for the engagement of retired para-medical staff over and above the sanctioned strength of the cadre depending on the requirement, it has been decided to extend this arrangement also upto 31.12.2020 subject to the stipulations already mentioned in Board’s letter No. E(NG)II/2005/RC-4/SC/2 dated 31.03.2020 as has been decided in case of hiring of para-medical staff (in Group ‘C’) on contract basis.

3. Extension of these schemes upto 31.12.2020 for engagement of retired para-medical staff and hiring of para-medical staff on contract basis (in Group `C’) shall be effective from 01.07.2020.

4. This issues with the approval of Board (FC and CRB).
