Office Memorandum

Subject: Revision of ‘Schedule of Engaging Authority’, Disciplinary Authority and Appellate Authority for BPMs and ABPMs /Dak Sevaks under Rule 31 of GDS (Conduct and Engagement) Rules, 2020 for all categories of Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS).

The undersigned is directed to refer to this Directorate O.M. of even number dated 10.06.2019 and Rule 31 of GDS (Conduct and Engagement.) rules, 2020 wherein the ‘Schedule of Engaging Authority’, Disciplinary Authority and Appellate Authority for all categories of Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) were circulated.

2. The Competent Authority has now approved the substitution in Rule – 31 of GDS (Conduct and Engagement) Rules, 2020 containing the revised ‘Schedule of Engaging Authority’, Disciplinary Authority and Appellate Authority for all categories of Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) as per Annexure attached.

3. The above instructions will come into effect from the date of issue of this O.M.
