TN Govt announced Diwali Bonus 2018 for PSU Employees

CM Edappadi K Palaniswami on Tuesday announced Deepavali bonus to the tune of Rs 486.92 crore to the 3.58lakh employees of the state public sector undertakings(PSUs) for the year 2017-2018. The bonus would range from Rs 8,400 to Rs.16,800.

The Employees of the TN Electricity Board, state-owned transport corporations, TN civil supplies corporation, and TN state Textbook and Educational services corporation would get 20% bonus(8.33% + 11.67% ex-gratia). The employees of Profit making cooperative housing societies would get 20% while those working in other societies would get 10% bonus(8.33% + 1.67% ex-gratia) and those who don’t come under the Bonus Act, would be given Rs.3,000 as ex-gratia. The workers of the primary cooperative societies would get Rs.2,400 as ex-gratia.
