NFIR – Railway Board’s instructions on “LARSGESS” — Implementation of Hon’ble Supreme Court’s order dated 08/01/2018 in SLP (C) Diary No.(s) 37460/2017

No.II/34/2018

Dated: 20/03/2018

The Chairman,
Railway Board,
New Delhi

Dear Sir,

Sub: Railway Board’s instructions on “LARSGESS” — Implementation of Hon’ble Supreme Court’s order dated 08/01/2018 in SLP (C) Diary No.(s) 37460/2017.

Ref:

(i) Railway Board’s letter No. E(P&A)I-2015/RT-43 dated 27/10/2017.
(ii) NFIR’s letter No. II/34/Part 16 dated 08/11/2017 & 15/11/2017.
(iii) Railway Board’s letter No. E(P&A)I-2015/RT-43 Pt-I) dated 30/11/2017.
(iv) NFIR’s letter No. I1/34/Part 17 dated 08/01/2018, 09/01/2018 & 19/02/2018 addressed to Board (CRB, MS etc).

**********

Kind attention is invited to NFIR’s letter dated 08/01/2018, 09/01/2018 & 19/02/2018.

Hon’ble Supreme Court had passed orders on 08th January, 2018 directing the Railway Ministry to take conscious decision on “LARSGESS” within six weeks, which fact is known to you. The Federation is also aware that the Railway Ministry has been considering the matter in order to arrive at “conscious decision” for continuing the LARSGESS.

Federation however hastens to bring to your kind notice that the wards of safety staff who have already been selected for appointment and cleared medical examination are anxiously awaiting for appointment. As it is apprehended that the Railway Board may take some more time to take decision on the subject, NFIR specially requests you to kindly consider the limited issue relating to granting appointment to those wards who have already been selected and found medically fit.

NFIR, therefore requests to kindly look into the matter personally for giving clearance for appointing those wards already selected, pending decision in due course.

Yours faithfully

S/d,
(Dr. M. Raghavaiah)
General Secretary
