Subject: Educational concession to the children of Armed forces officers/PBORs mission/disabled/killed in action – regarding.
The undersigned is directed to refer to the Ministry of Defence’s OM No.6(1)/2009/Edn. concession/D (Res.II) dated 11th January 2018 and 13th February, 2018 on the subject mentioned above. the matter has been examined in this department and the following is agreed to:
(a) Education concession will continue without the cap of Rs.10000/- per month.
(b) The ‘Education concession” will be admissible only for undertaking studies in a Government/government aided schools/educational institutes Military/Sainik schools and other schools or colleges recognized by the central or state government including the autonomous organizations financed entirely by the central/state governments.
2. This issues with the approval of Hon’ble Finance Minister.
