Atal Pension Yojana – Launch of Official Mobile App
The APY was launched by Honorable Prime Minister of India on 09th May, 2015 and became operational from 1st June, 2015. APY is available for all citizens of India in the age group of 18-40 years. Under the APY, the subscribers would receive a minimum guaranteed pension of Rs. 1000 per month,Rs. 2000 per month, Rs. 3000 per month, Rs. 4000 per month, Rs. 5000 per month, at the age of 60 years, depending on their contributions, which itself would vary on the age of joining the APY. There are near to 57 lacs subscribers registered in the scheme till date.
2. PFRDA has taken various initiatives for the expansion of outreach and ease the operations under APY. In the month of March, 2017, PFRDA has provided online facility to view Statement of Account and ePRAN card. Now, PFRDA has enabled mobile applications for empowering the subscribers to view Statement of Account and other details of their APY account. All APY customers who has smart phone can down loan NPS lite mobile applications from google store and install in their mobile phones for real time viewing of APY Accounts.
3. All the subscribers are also advised to seed their Aadhar Numbers in their APY accounts before 31/12/2017.
