Special Scientists’ Pay

 Special Scientists’ Pay, at a rate of ₹4,000 pm, is granted to Scientists/Engineers H with GP 10000 because it was felt that the pay scale accorded to them by the V CPC was not commensurate with their status and was adversely affecting their morale. No demands have been received regarding this pay.

Analysis and Recommendations

Since the V CPC recommendations, much time has passed and the pay scales of all employees have been revised upwards. There is no rationale for the continuation of this allowance. Hence, it is recommended that this allowance be abolished.
