May 6, 2017 by rajasinghmurugesan 1 Comment

Post Graduate Allowance

This allowance is granted to doctors up to the level of NFSG who are PG Degree or PG Diploma holders. The existing rate of the allowance is ₹1,500 pm for PG Degree holders and ₹900 pm for PG Diploma holders. There are demands to raise the quantum of allowance threefold.

Analysis and Recommendations

The allowance is partially indexed to DA. Hence, it is it is recommended to raise it by a factor of 1.5. The amount will further rise by 25 percent each time DA rises by 50 percent. The allowance should also be extended to medical doctors who are dentists and veterinarians.
