Messing Allowance
This allowance is paid to “floating staff” under Fishery Survey of India, in lieu of free food onboard floating vessels, at a rate of ₹200 per day. Demands have been received to increase the amount of allowance to 15 percent of Basic Pay.
Analysis and Recommendations
It is recommended that the allowance should be increased to ₹300 per day. The amount will further rise by 25 percent each time DA increases by 50 percent.
