AMENDMENT TO REVISION OF CEILING RATES FOR CARDIAC IMPLANTS

1. Ref this office letter No B/49773/AG/ECHS/Rates/Policy dt 06 Aug 2014.
2. Para 5 of the above quoted letter is amended as follows:-

For: “Prior approval as per procedure outlined in Central Organization ECHS letter No B/49778/AG/ECHS/PA/Ruling dt 28 Jun 2011 will be followed. The reimbursement will be limited to the ceiling rate or actual, whichever is less.”

Read: “Prior approval as per procedure outlined in Central Organization ECHS letter No B/49778/AG/ECHS/PA/Ruling dt 28 Jun 2011 will be followed. However for:-

(a)	Cardiac procedure listed	–          NO approval reqd
(b)	Cardiac procedure unlisted & Implants (listed & unlisted)	–          Prior approval of Service Cardiologist

3. The guidelines for coronary/vascular stents will be as mentioned at para 4 of our letter No B/49773/AG/ECHS/Rates/Policy dt 26 Apr 2013.
4. This office letter No B/49773/AG/ECHS/Rates/Policy dt 17 Dec 2015 is hereby cancelled.
