Subject: Biometric Attendance System (BAS)- Preparatory steps to be taken by Departments.

Please refer HQrs important circular of even no. dated 20.02.2015 regarding implementation of Aadhar Enabled Biometric Attendance system (AEBAS) in offices for marking attendance. Progress/ Status regarding implementation of Aadhar Enabled Biometric Attendance System sought vide ibid circular is still awaited.

2. It is therefore, requested to forward the current status on implementation of BAS in your organisation as well as sub offices under your administrative jurisdiction by return fax incorporating the information on following points.

a) Total strength of your organisation.
b) Number of employees registered.
c) Number of employees not registered (reason for non registration).
d) Number of employees marking attendance through AEBAS.
e) Total number of desktop devices, wall mounted devices or other type of devices installed and requisition of extra devices placed to NIC.
