OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject : Review of Model Constitution in respect of Resident Welfare Associations recognized by DOPT.

Reference is invited to this Department’s O.M. of even number dated 9-1-2015. The undersigned is directed to say that certain amendments to the existing Model Constitution of RWAs (Copy enclosed) are proposed to be made in the light of various suggestions made by stakeholders and subsequent deliberations done in the Department. A copy of the proposed amendments to Model Constitution is attached for reference.

2.All stakeholders are request to offer their comments on the proposed amendments specifically with reference to feasibility para II 2(b) Model Constitution which relates to depositing of Membership due in Bank Account of RWA. Any other suggestion relating to amendment of existing Model Constitution is also welcome. The comments should be brief and to the point should be furnished via email or hard copy at the address given below latest by 15.6.2015 for further consideration in the Department.
