OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject:- Regulation of pay of Central and State Service officers appointed a s Under/Deputy Secretaries to the Government of India.
The undersigned is directed to say that the President is pleased to decide that in supersession of the orders contained in title this Ministry’s Office Memorandum No.F.3(22)-Est.III/59 dated the 27th July, 1959, the pay plus special pay of a Central or State Service officer referred to in this Ministry’s Office Memorandum No.F.3(26) –Est.II/57 dated the 4th October 1957 appointed as Under Secretary to the Government of India should be subject to a maximum of Rs.1400/- p.m.
2.These orders will have effect from the 27th July 1959. Officers who were appointed as Under Secretary to the Government of India from a date prior to 27-7-1959 and were in receipt of a salary exceeding Rs.1400/- on this date shall be exempt from the operation of the restriction referred to in para 1 above.
