OFFICE MEMORANDUM.

Subject:- Regulation of initial pay on promotion or appointment to a higher post. Benefit of at least one increment Pay-Commission’s recommend regarding.

 The undersigned is directed to say that in exercise of the powers conferred by clause 5 of the article 148 o the Constitution, the President, after consultation with the Comptroller and Auditor General, is pleased to decide that the orders contained in this Ministry’s Office Memorandum of even number dated the 20th March, 1961 on the subject mentioned above shall also apply to the personnel of the Indian an Audit and Accounts Department with effect from the 1st April, 1961.
