Notification – amendment in FR 1961

NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 and clause (5) of Article 148 of the Constitution, and after consultation with the Comptroller and Auditor General in relation to persons serving in the Indian Audit and Accounts Department, the president hereby makes the following rule further to amend the Fundamental Rules, namely:-
1. These rules may be called the Fundamental (Sixth Amendment) Rules, 1961.
2. In the Fundamental Rules, in the Note below rule 31, the following shall be added at the end, namely:-
“These provisions shall also apply in respect of a Government servant who pay in the post held by him in an officiating capacity has been withheld at a particular stage or the efficiency bar stage of the time-scale of that post for failure to pass a departmental examination.”
