Fixation of scales of pay for posts of Under Secretary and Deputy Secretary under the Central Civil Services (Revision of Pay) Rules, 1947

 Office Memorandum

 Subject:- Fixation of scales of pay for posts of Under Secretary and Deputy Secretary under the Central Civil Services (Revision of Pay) Rules, 1947.

 In continuation of this Ministry’s Office Memorandum No. F.1 (44)-Est. (Spl)/47, dated the 28th June, 1948, on the subject mentioned above, the undersigned is directed to say that for the purposes of fixation of pay under sub-paragraph (b) of paragraph 3.

  • The posts of Under Secretary and Deputy Secretary will be deemed to the posts other than “non-permanent” posts irrespective of the source from which the incumbents thereof may have been recruited, and
  • In the case of an Officer belonging to the General Administrative Reserve the personal pay, if any, drawn on the date from which he elects the prescribed scale will also be treated as part of his “present pay”.
