OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject:- Fixation of pay under CCS (RP) Rules, 1973.
The undersigned is directed to invite a reference to this Ministry’s OM No.F.1(16)-E.III(A)/73 dated 7-1-1974 regarding special pay in the revised scale. The Ministries were advised to take up with this Ministry within three months the cases in which the special pay were drawn in the existing scales, but no recommendation about their continuance in the revised scales was made by the III Pay Commission. It is observed that the most of the Ministries have not so far initiated these cases even though a period of about 6 months has elapsed. They are once again urged to send these cases early and not later than 3 months from the date of issue of orders.
2.The revised scales of Class I services have also since been announced. The provisions of the above said O.M. dated 7.1.1974 will also apply them. Cases relating to Class I services similar to these stated in para 1 above may also be taken up early within the above stipulated period.
