OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject :- Fixation of pay on promotion after 1.1.73 from the revised junior Class I Scale to the Senior Class I scale of pay in certain organised Class I Services – Government’s decision on the recommendations of the Third Pay Commission regarding application of concordance table etc.
The undersigned is directed to refer to paragraph 3 of this Ministry’s O.M. of even number dated the 14.11.1975 on the above subject which stipulated that the orders contained in that O.M. would remain in force for a period of 5 years from 1-1-1973, i.e., upto 31st December, 1977. On reviewing the position, this period was extended from time to time. The last extension given was upto the 31-12-1982 vide this Ministry’s O.M. of even number dated 6th May, 1982. The matter has been further reviewed and it has been decided to extend the benefit till further orders or till the recommendations of the Fourth Pay Commission are received and implemented, whichever is earlier.
2. In so far as persons serving in the Indian Audit and Accounts Department are concerned, these orders issue after consultation with the Comptroller and Auditor General of India.
