OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject:- Fixation of pay of women clerks in the prescribed scale under the Central Civil Services (Revision of Pay) Rules, 1947.
The undersigned is directed to refer to the orders contained in this Ministry’s Office Memorandum No.F.10(32)-Est. (Spl)/48, dated the 22nd June 1948 and to state that a question has risen as to how the pay of women clerks who elected the unified scale of pay or were recruited after the introduction of the unified scale of pay or were recruited after the introduction of the unified scale of Rs. 90-5-100-E.B.-10-120 should be fixed. It has been decided that the basic pay actually drawn in the unified scale by women clerks on the date of election of the prescribed scale should be treated as “present pay” for purposes of fixation of initial pay in the prescribed scale under the Central Civil Services (Revision of Pay) Rules, 1947.
