Office Memorandum.

Subject:- Fixation of pay in the revised scale of persons appointed after 1.7.59 in respect of whom/higher starting salary in the pre-revised scales has been recommended by the Union Public Service Commission.

The undersigned is directed to refer to say that a question as to how the pay of persons selected through the U.P.S.C in respect of whom Commission have recommended a higher initial pay in the prescribed scale (pre-revised scale) but who have joined their posts on or after 1.7.59 should be regulated in the revised scale has been considered in consultation with the Commission. It has been decided that such case should be referred to the Commission individually and the Commission will give their advice after taking all relevant circumstances into account.
