Fixation of officiating pay under F.R. 31.

                                    OFFICE MEMORANDUM.

 

Subject:- Fixation of officiating pay under F.R. 31.

The undersigned is directed to refer to paragraph 3 of this Ministry’s Office Memorandum No.F.2(4063)-E.III/59 dated the 1st September, 1959, on the subjected mentioned above.

2. In partial modification thereof, the President is pleased to decide that in the case of a Government servant officiating in a post and whose pay had been refixed under F.R.31(2), if he is confirmed in that post from a retrospective date, the refixations of pay done under F.R.31(2) after the date of confirmation will have to be revised. However, the overpayments consequent an such revision will fist be set off against the arrears, if any, that might become payable to the Government servant for a portion of the period from the date of confirmation to the date of issue of orders of confirmation. 3. In so far as persons serving in the Indian Audit & Accounts Department are concerned, these orders are issued after consultation with the Comptroller and Auditor General.
