OFFICE MEMORANDUM.
Subject:- Central Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 1960 – Fixation of pay of officers holding posts in the revised scale which is a segment starting at Rs.400 of the standard Class II scale.
The undersigned is directed to say that the President is pleased to decide, under rule 10(1) of the Central Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 1960, that in case of persons who were holding posts which carried a segment of the existing standard Class II scale of Rs. 275-25-500-30-650-EB-30-800, starting with Rs.350, and for which a segment of the revised standard Class II scale of Rs 350-25-500-30-590-EB-30-800-EB-30-830-35-900, starting with Rs.400, has been prescribed, the pay in the revised scale will be fixed on the basis of a national minimum of Rs.425/-.
2. The President is further pleased to decide that persons whom the above ‘existing’ and ‘revised’ scales are applicable, may be allowed a fresh option which should be exercised on or before the 25th April 1961.
