Sub: Filling up posts of para-medical categories in Group ‘C’ on contract basis-reg.
Ref: Railway Board’s letter No. E(NG)I/2005/RC4/SC/2 dated 21/06/2013.
Federation wishes to invite kind attention of the Railway Board to the instructions issued vide letter dated 21/06/2013, (quoted under reference) for filling up Group ‘C’ posts of para-medical staff on contract basis up to 30/06/2014.
2. In this connection, NFIR wishes to state that the situation has not undergone any change and the concerned RRBs have still not been able to provide panels of selected candidates of para-medical staff and the position is not likely to improve in future. At the same time, if validity of the scheme is not extended beyond 30/06/2014, the services of para-medical staff shall be terminated by the Zonal/Hospital Administration which are bound to disrupt health care system causing all types of problems to the staff.
NFIR, therefore, urges upon the Railway Board, (MS) to kindly arrange to issue instructions, extending the scheme at least upto 31/12/2015. A copy of instructions issued may be endorsed to the Federation.
