POSTING/TRANSFER OF DEFENCE CIVILIAN EMPLOYEES ON
COMPASSIONATE GROUNDS OR ON MUTUAL BASIS
1. Army Order 22/2001 as amended, specifically gives detailed guidelines pertaining to transfer of defence civilians on compassionate or mutual grounds. However, it has been observed that some units/estts are either not forwarding the requests of individuals seeking posting/transfer on compassionate grounds or forwarding conditional applications citing various reasons like prior relief, deficiency in trades etc.
2. In this connection, it is once again reiterated that provisions of the ibid AO pertaining to forwarding of applications of individuals seeking posting/transfer on compassionate grounds should be complied with strictly at all levels and no application be withheld on any grounds as it leads of matter in various JCM fora and may even cause legal complications.
3. The contents of this letter may be disseminated to all concerned units/estts for information and necessary action.
