Amendment of Allotment Rules for Out of Turn Allotment

NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 28th November, 2013

G.S.R. _(E).- In pursuance of the provisions of rule 45 of the Fundamental Rules, the President hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Allotment of Government Residences (General Pool in Delhi)
Rules, 1963, namely :-

1.  (1) These rules may be called the Allotment of Government Residences (General Pool in Delhi) Amendment Rules, 2013.

(2) They shall: come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the Allotment of Government Residences (General Pool in Delhi) Rules, 1963, for the existing Supplementary Rule 317-B-8A, the following Supplementary Rule shall be substituted, namely:-

"OUT OF TURN ALLOTMENT
SR 317-B-8A

Notwithstanding the provisions of SR 317-B-7 –

(i) entitled type of accommodation may be allotted, immediately on out of turn basis, if the exigencies of duties so demand to the personal staff attached to the following dignitaries, as per the prescribed numbers, namely:-
(a) not exceeding three units in the case of Cabinet Minister, and
(b) not exceeding two units in the case of Minister of State.

(ii) one type below the entitled type of accommodation may be allotted, immediately on out of turn basis, if the exigencies of duties so demand to the personal staff attached to the following dignitaries, as per the prescribed numbers, namely:

(a) not exceeding three units in the case of Deputy Chairman, Planning Commission;
(b) not exceeding three units each in the case of Speaker, Lok Sabha and Deputy Chairman, Raiya Sabha;
(c) not exceeding seven units in the case of the Chief Justice of India and not exceeding two units in the case
of Judges of the Supreme Court."
