Regarding grant of Pension Allowance @ 5% to the H.P. Govt. pensioners between the age group of 65 years to 80 years.
The undersigned is directed to refer to the subject cited above and to say that matter with regard to grant of Pension Allowance to the State Government pensioners who have completed 65 years of age but less than 80 years as a welfare measure was under consideration of the Government.
Now, after careful consideration of the matter, the Governor, Himachal Pradesh is pleased to order that Pension Allowance @ 5% of the Basic Pension will be given to the State Government pensioners after completion of 65 years of age till they complete the age of 80 years. The Pension Allowance shall be admissible w.e.f. 1.10.2012. The Pension Allowance being, an allowance shall not form the part of the basic pension for the purpose of grant of dearness relief, meaning thereby, no dearness relief will be admissible on Pension Allowance.
The Pension Allowance @5% shall not be admissible to the pensioners who have attained the age of 80 years and above, as they are already getting additional pension on their basic pension, in accordance with instructions contained in Finance Department O.M. No. Fin (Pen)A(3)-1/09- Part-I and Part-11 dated 14.10.2009.
