Government is spending one lakh croers of rupees every financial year for the defence services. There are so many welfare mesures for exservicemen. WHo is there to compare the pay, pension and perks of Army personnel serving and retiring. The last war was in 1971 with Pakisthan. There were no wars thereafter. So those who enrolled and retired since then were not known what is war? But they are ex-servicemen. In otherwords they are uniformed civilian.I am agfed 69 and attended two wards in 1962 and in 1965 but no pension. Not only that I am not entitled to purchase stores from CSD. Pay and perkhs of Army personnel of these days and of the span of 1960’s. How this can be viewd by a welfare Govt?
