New Delhi, the 28th November, 1983.
OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: Grant of Interim Relief to the Central Government employees – question whether the benefit is applicable to employees of Autonomous Bodies.
The undersigned is directed to say that the question whether the interim relief sanctioned to the Central Government employees with effect from 1-6-1983 vide this Ministry’s Office Memorandum of even number dated 2-8-1983 will be payable to the employees of Autonomous Bodies, has been under the consideration of the Government for some time. It has now been decided that since Autonomous Bodies, by and large, follow Government pattern of pay and allowances, the interim relief as sanctioned to the Central Government employees, would be payable to employees of such Autonomous Bodies as are on Government pattern of pay scales and allowances, such as, dearness allowance, additional dearness allowance, Compensatory (city) allowance etc.
