As per the gazetted notification, Anomalies Committees will be set up by Department of Personnel and Training to examine individual, post-specific and cadre-specific anomalies arising out of the implementation of the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission

The three-member 7th Central Pay Commission, which had submitted its report on November 19, 2015, was divided over the issue of the financial and career-related edge given to IAS officers as against those belonging to the other services.
