Can anyone tell me how the retirement date is calculated in Maharashtra State in Higher Education Sector? I work with a reputed MBA Institute in Pune. I will be completing 60 years of age on 9th October. The college administration says I should leave the charge on 30th September. How my retirement date is calculated?

Sir, my problem is similar. The clerk said, as my date is before the 15th of the month, I should retire by the end of the previous month. If it would have been after the 15th then it should be at the end of the month of the birthday. But as per Fundamental Rule 56 (a) the date has to be the end of the month. The reference is attached herewith,

“F.R. 56(a) Except as otherwise provided in this rule, every Government servant shall retire from service on the afternoon of the last day of the month in which he attains the age of sixty years: Provided that a Government servant whose date of birth is the first of a month shall retire from service on the afternoon of the last day of the preceding month on attaining the age of sixty years.”

So the date calculation is being done in the wrong manner.

    Sir,
I am GOI employee and opted my pay fixation as on 01/01/2016 in seventh CPC. Rs. 26380+6600 GP = Rs. 32980/- was as on 01/01/2016. I have been promoted to 7600 GP on 01/07/2016 and opted my choice of fixation on date of increment. My date of increment is also on 01 July so I have fixed with Rs. 91400/- ( 85800+one increment of promotion+ one regular increment) as on 01/01/2016. An office memorandum No. 4-21/2017-IC/E-IIIA dated 28th Nov.,2019 issued by ministry of finance, department of expenditure regarding date of next increment under rule 10 of CCS (revised pay) rules 2016.
My question is that may I give my choice of re-fixation as on 01/07/2016 under sixth CPC. If yes then what will be my basic pay after promotion under sixth CPC as on 01/01/2016.
Sir this Very urgent because I have to send my option upto 27/12/2019. Please reply at the earliest. Thank you.

It has to be calculated, you have to calculate of your old basic with grade pay as on 31-12-2015 multiple by 2.57 and fixed as on 1-1-2016 of that amount in 7th CPC MATRIX LEVEL 11 at your stage of equal basic pay or next higher stage and given 1-7-16 in that matrix level of two increments. But as per new rule it will be eligible next MATRIX LEVEL 12 only on 1-7-17 onwards. If the previous amount is more you have to refund that amount and also your next MACP will be on 1-7-2027 if you’re in set of the completion of 31st year.

Sir how to understand this scale? means in how many years 23500 will become 24600? and reach 47650 is it changes annually or monthly??

      It is annual. From ₹ 23500 to 24600 each year increment 550, 25600 was after two years (I.e. 23500 + 550=24050 + 550 = 24600). From 23500 to 45600 annually increments upto your next promotion/retirement.

Inform the promotion is due to designaton changes in view of vacant/retirement post or upgraded as MACP. If the designation changes the question of CALCULATION does not arise. On the basis of your answer I will. check your calculations.

If the promotion is designated changes no monitory benefits of GP only in the upgraded as MACP on completion of 10th year the grade pay will be add with basic pay in the 6th CPC, because there’s no pay scales for designations of post from 1/9/2008.
